How To Check Spotify Account Age?
There are two methods you can use to check your Spotify account age. The step-by-step guide is mentioned for each method. Choose the one that you find easy.
Method 1: Requesting Account Data From Spotify
In this method, you must request that Spotify app provide your account data. Although this is not the instant method, it’s still effective.
Follow these steps to request your account data from Spotify:
- Open your browser and click here to go to Spotify Privacy Settings.
- Log in to your Spotify account.
- Now, at the end of the privacy page, you’ll see the Account Data. Check only account data.
- Tap on Request Data.
Note: For retrieving your account data, platform will take up to 5 days. After that, it will send you an email which contains the downloading link. Once the data is downloaded, follow these steps next:
- Open the Archive file you downloaded.
- Open Userdata.json.
- Look at the creation time. You’ll see the date in the format YYYY-MM-DD.
Note: You can also check your hours on Spotify using this downloaded data.
Method 2: Check Your Email
Now this is the most simple method to check the Spotify account age. However, it depends on whether you have emails in your inbox or if they have been deleted.
So, look for the email that Spotify sent you at the time of account creation.
When you find the email in your inbox, check the date it was received. Find out how old your Spotify account is from there.
As you can see in the image above, my Spotify account was confirmed on Fri, Jul 21, 2023. So, I can easily calculate my account age using this date. If you are a Spotify Premium user, you can also check the date of subscription to make an estimate of your account age.
